28.03.12 Christ in the Passover
An evening with Jews for Jesus
Many from our church and also from other churches in Newquay joined together to partake in a traditional Jewish Passover meal and to learn of its significance for the Christian.
Leading us and instructing us throughout the evening was Julia Pascoe, one of the missionaries from "Jews for Jesus", who also led us in the traditional Jewish music as we went through the evening. It was a wonderful event, thoroughly enjoyed by all who came.
(A photograph or two of the evening will be posted here shortly)

December 2011 - 3 visits from Trenance School!
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 each paid us a visit to look at our Chistmas decorations and to hear a little bit about what Christmas is all about. They sang beautifully to us as well so a great time was had by both us and them!
Summer 2011 - The Harbour Mission
Throughout the summer we opened up a new outreach work down at Newquay Harbour, using the Harbour Mission as our base. Opportunity was given for free teas and coffees and many locals and holiday visitors stopped for a chat. We also opened up the Mission for the Fish Festival at the beginning of September.

Mo Knight unexpectedly, was taken home to be with the Lord today, Friday 27th August. Mo, like her late husband, Peter, served this church for over 40 years. She was a lady who meant so much to so many people, both in the church and outside the church, and held a special place in the hearts of us all. She will be sorely missed.
24.07.10 - 01.08.10 It was great to welcome back SW, Marilyn and Betty - we thoroughly enjoyed their visit with us and wish it could have been longer than a week! They worked tirelessly in our coffee morning and soup kitchen and were able to snatch a few moments of relaxation in between!

Visit of Missionaries Wayne Lawther and his family and Moira his co-worker in Senegal
Starting with a faith meal on the Saturday afternoon, We all really enjoyed a fantastic time of fellowship, worship and sharing with Wayne, Moira and Wayne's family (Inno, Oumou and John). On the Sunday morning Wayne shared God's word with us and in the evening, together with Moira, brought news of their work in Senegal.
It has left us with much to think about - we look forward to supporting them in the future and to their next visit to us.

We enjoyed a great week with our friends from Rock Hill, who have been coming to the church for a week of outreach in the Summer for the past 14 years!
It was good to renew fellowship with them all - some who had been before and others who were here for the first time and we all thank God for all He did as they ministered to the holiday makers and homeless throughout the week.

New Baptistery! – we recently bought a new Portable Baptistery. Until now we have performed adult baptisms in a nearby hotel swimming pool, which has been great, except that the older members of the congregation have not been able to attend. It was a great day for the church on February 24th when we were able to have two adult baptisms in the main church building – a wonderful occasion!
